Z-Gel Properties

Z-Gel is a Certified Skin Safe Silicone material designed to offload pressure and reduce shear. Z-Gel has the ability to stretch without tearing and will rebound to its original shape without distorting. It is available in soft and medium densities and has proven to be extremely durable and strong. Z-Gel can be trimmed and/or cut with a pair of scissors, allowing for easy modifications in the field. The material is also easy to clean and will not degrade with exposure to liquids.

Z-Gel Ischial Well

The Z-Gel Ischial Well offers a skin safe pressure relief system that can be easily incorporated into any custom or prefabricated cushion. The properties of the Z-Gel material combined with the honeycomb grid design provides even distribution of weight and offloads the ischial without causing shear. The tapered design and elasticity of the Z-gel allows the Ischial Well to be placed into the contour of any cushion and lay flat at the edges providing an even surface. The Z-Gel Ischial Well is offered in three sizes and two densities, and can also be custom made to measurement, scan, and/or cast.

Z-Gel Overlay

The Z-Gel Full Overlay offers a skin safe relief system that can be utilized with custom or prefabricated cushions offering additional support, weight distribution, and offloading. The properties of the Z-Gel material combined with the honeycomb grid design provides even distribution of weight and offloads pressure areas without causing shear. The Z-Gel Overlay is offered in two densities and a variety of sizes so it will completely cover any cushion dimension. The standard thickness of the Z-Gel Overlay is one inch. The Z-Gel Overlay can also be custom made to measurement.
